Overwhelming

Lately it has been feeling like I have the weight of the world on my shoulders. I have been pretty exhausted this week with getting papers done and using my brain to the fullest potential. Other than that, my work load has been swamped at the office. I know I complain when there is little to do and then complain when there is too much. Can't a girl get just the right amount!? Maybe in a perfect world. I just get stressed when I feel like things should be getting done faster when I can only go a certain pace. I was so excited that Thanksgiving break (a week off of school) was arriving and I had intentions on taking a day or two off in there but those plans were quickly shot when the massive amount of files arrive to my "office." Oh well, I guess there is always Christmas time to take off.

Other than the stress of life... I am super excited about this weekend. I have plans to have dinner with three of my favorite people tomorrow night. Diego, Linda, Mike and I are having dinner together and then heading to a birthday party for a friend later. It should be a relaxing night with good company and many laughs. On Saturday I will be going to Disneyland with Mike. I am so stoked! We used to go every year around Christmas but missed last year due to low monetary funds. So, I haven't been since 2007 and I am glad Mike works with a guy who also works at the park, which means free admission :)

With all the craziness going on this weekend I hope I can manage a good nights rest. I am going to need it in order to return to work on Monday. Thankfully my homework load over the Fall break is relatively light so I can enjoy Thanksgiving and family time.

P.S. I have been so busy that my Canon thinks I am abandoning him... shooting with definitely be happening this week!

Three For Four

I got my camera!!! I got my Juicy perfume!!! I got my Toms!!! I got three gifts of the four I wanted for my birthday. What is left for Christmas now? Nothing! I am so happy and thankful for all the love I felt this past week. My birthday party was Saturday and it was the best party ever! Thank you to all the people who made it so special. It couldn't have gone any better and I loved all of my friends and family finally getting together and getting a chance to meet one another.

I am in love with my Toms and they are more comfortable than I thought! Thanks Linda for the Toms and Mike for the perfume and EVERYONE who gave me cash in a card... you sure donated to this delectable camera!

Need Of A Camera

One of the biggest reasons I need a camera, other than the obvious photo opportunities, is that all my other friends who have cameras take pictures of groups and friends but then delete 70% of the pictures because their "hair looks bad" or their "head looks big." So, Canon... you will be the savior to my life because now I can actually take pictures and not delete them right away! I can't wait to buy you. I already know it will be a beautiful relationship and I will love you unconditionally. Thanks to everyone for the birthday gifts and donating to the "Tanya needs a camera fund." It is greatly appreciated.

Oh and.... I am 21 now. :)

The huge party with family and close friends is going down at my house this evening. One of the attorneys I work for managed to sneak a MASSIVE grey goose bottle into the office without me knowing and that was her gift to me for the party. It should be fun.

Gross

People who put ranch on their pizza deserve to be punished. Why mask the lovely taste of pizza?

Birthday List

1) Canon SLR Camera (picture via Best Buy)
2) Chanel Eyeglasses (picture via alldesignerglasses.com)
3) Viva La Juicy Perfume (picture via Sephora)
4) Toms (picture via Toms website)
I am realistic and I know I will only get probably one of these for my birthday with everyone chipping in but these are the only things I can really think of when people ask me what I want. It is the twenty-first birthday so I assuming alcohol bottles are in order as well.

Still Amazed

It is amazing that some people remain catty, immature, passive-aggressive, ridiculous and unreal in the most unimportant situations. Being a psychology major I try to take a step back and figure this is in result to something going on in their lives and the fault shouldn't be rested on others but then sometimes I just want to throw all that psych bullshit out the door and think... you are just a bitter negative person. Anytime I try to be optimistic you tear me down and say something pessimistic. I don't need that.

I don't understand how some people can do 180's and be a completely different person than what they once were. I guess that is why the divorce rate is 50%. You are so bipolar with your moods and I don't know what I am going to get at any given time. Is it me? Is it him? Is it them? I don't know! I used to want to know but now I don't. For now I am just giving myself space because I have more important things to worry about. I have school, work, money budgeting, my boyfriend, family and friends that truly care about me and my feelings. I don't have time and it still amazes me that you can treat people like they are nothing. Stop being so stubborn and try not cutting people off based on assumptions. Assumptions get to the best of us. I just hope you figure it our for yourself because I can't help you, I tried and it only lasted so long. I am starting to realize that I can't please everyone and there is only so much of me and my efforts that can be given. It sucks but that's reality.

Fresh New Start

It is now officially Autumn with the crisp cool weather, seasonal coffee drinks, crazy dancing gorillas on the sidewalk with Halloween store signs and the mlb postseason. I decided to make a fresh new start by cutting a good amount of my hair off and adopted a new attitude. As each day passes, I am becoming more and more comfortable in my own skin and more confident in who I am. I know who I am and it is a great feeling. I now need to learn how to firmly stay who I am in all situations. With this whole vegetarian project for school, I have realized that I can do almost anything I put my mind to. If I am determined then it will happen. I am determined for this fresh new start to be positive. I am going to live my life the way I want to live it, not the way people want me to live it. This new start will be amazing! I just have to wait for my hair to grow back. :)

Great Night

Why tonight was great...

1. Angels win first game in the American League Division Series against the much hated Red Sox.
2. Survivor was a good episode.
3. I ran 3 miles.
4. I completed my statistics homework for the weekend.
5. Realized the only homework I had was statistics so I am done for the weekend.
6. Got to relax after finishing my last midterm of the first round.
7. Dodgers won (second favorite team).
8. My mom agreed on making exceptions to her dinners next week on account of my vegetarianism.
9. I shaved my legs.
10. I get to sleep in a warm comfy bed.

Good night all. <3

It's Official

I am a vegetarian for two weeks starting today. Wish me luck! I just went to Burger King with my mom and sister expecting to only get apple fries but they had a veggie patty burger! So stoked! :)
