I am so unbelievably excited about this new project Mike and I are going to start. I was talking to Bill, an attorney at the office I work at, and he was appalled that I had never seen Lawrence of Arabia. Considering it is ranked number 5 of the All Time Best Movies in America, I should probably see it. So this whole conversation got my mind working and I got the AFI list of the top 100 movies. I sent Mike a quick e-mail regarding the list and bam! Our new project includes seeing one movie a week from this list and preferably going from 100 until we reach the number one movie of all time (can you guess what movie it is?).
It will be a challenge and probably take us a good two years to finish all movies (at a rate of a movie a week). Mike was just as excited as I was and I think we will definitely have some bonding moments over these classics. I am ecstatic! I'll probably blog after seeing each movie and give my opinions on whether it should even be on the list or if it should be further up the list! I can't wait to start the journey. First movie, and number 100 on the list, is Yankee Doodle Dandy!

This is going to be interesting...

hey I want to do it at the same time as you. I'm sure I've seen a lot of them but Lawrence of Arabia wasn't one that I've seen either. Send me a copy of the list and I'll start putting them on my Netflix list... cool!!
Love ya bunches,
Gram
I am really excited to do this. It will culture us because there are a lot of refrences in television and shows that reference snot of these movies and the time with you will be nice.
Thanks for reminding me to put Yankee Doodle Dandy on the Netflix list (at #1 of course). Sorry it took me so long...I've already made your 2 year deadline late!
