Rut to Radiant

If I would have blogged on Sunday, this post would have been a depressed slur of words to get onto paper because I thought I had absolutely no one to talk to. Instead, I turned things upside down with the help of some really amazing friends. Lately I feel like the world isn't right, at least my world anyway. I have been having inner struggles regarding independence and choices. Routine has consumed my life for the past few weeks and I felt like I had no one to talk to about it. My boyfriend is an amazing listener but getting a different point of view helps too. I am so blessed that I have people like Linda, Kristy and most importantly Matt in my life. These individuals care about what's going on in my life past school and surface questions.

{Me and the Bestie}

Matt texted me on Monday morning and I was so happy to see his invitation to getting together. Nothing special, just hanging out. We ended up walking four miles tonight and catching up. We both really needed to get out of the house and just soak in the fresh air and talk about all the things coming up in our lives. Matt is transferring to Sacramento State in the Fall and he is bursting with emotions. I am so excited for him and words can not express how much I will miss him but he is doing the right thing! He will have so many experiences and in a way I am a little jealous. :)

Linda is my rock. She is always so insightful regarding certain situations and somehow just gets me. I love that girl to death. Even though a good forty minute drive separates us we still somehow make our relationship work. On a side note, we will be seeing Phoenix together at the Hollywood Bowl in September!! I am so stoked about the concert and to share it with Linda makes it that much sweeter!!

{Kristy, myself, Linda}

Kristy is my "guy friend." Kristy and I work out together, talk about our relationships and go on double dates. Like we always say we are just one of the guys hanging out. No drama between us and everything is what it is. I'm glad I have an outlet just down the street, complete with a full set of hip hop abs work outs.

These three, in addition to so many others, help me get through this crazy world. Finals are coming up in three weeks and I am nervous/happy/fearful/excited/relieved that this semester is going to be over soon! I have a couple of cumulative finals (basically thirteen chapters of material covered) so I will be in my cave for a couple of weeks in May. I am eagerly awaiting May 21st at about one o'clock in the afternoon because Summer will official start. Summer means rekindling friendships, beach trips, tans, beer and higher paychecks.

May 21st, please come sooner.
