Concert Recap

So this year was the year of the concert for me. I have gone to five so far this year and have one more left (that I know of) in September. :) Here's some pictures and pros/cons to each concert so someday I look back at this blog and I can relive this Summer again. (*Pictures taken by friends or myself*)

1. Britney Spears 4/20/09

Friends in attendance: Sarah, Erika, Nick and Jessica

Pros: Britney's comeback! Great choice of songs... Pussycat Dolls opened for them and rocked! Highlight and reward for Jess and I achieving our weight loss goal.

Cons: Lip syncing... haha. Late for the Pussycat Dolls. The row of Asian girls in front of us who were not at all grooving and seemed forced to be there.

2. Live 5/10/09 (Mother's Day)

People in attendance: My MOM!

Pros: House of Blues was small and intimate. Up close and personal. My mom was so happy seeing her favorite band on mother's day :)

Cons: Purple wrist band = not 21 and there were very few purples around. Drunk lady making her boyfriend leave because she looked sick (haha... felt so bad for the guy).

3. Taylor Swift 5/22/09

People in attendance: Mike <3

Pros: Kick off to summer, weekend after finals :) She basically played every song off of her two albums! Great openers... Kellie Pickler and Gloriana.

Cons: I honestly can't think of any... the price of the tickets?

I got cowgirl boots just for the occasion.

4. Death Cab for Cutie 7/5/09

People in attendance: Mike and Lizz (Linda was there though).

Pros: Awesome Hollywood Bowl venue! Great openers. Tegan and Sara were amazing! Mike buying me wine :) DCFC played with the LA Philharmonics! Park 'n' Ride was fun and convenient. Great ending with fireworks!

Cons: No encore because of Sunday restrictions on time :(

5. No Doubt 8/1/09

People in attendance: Jess (Alvin and many other known friends were there)

Pros: ummmmm No Doubt... need I say more. Awesome seats, awesome songs, awesome openers. Everything was amazing!

Cons: Needed to pee really bad all the time.

We were matching leprechauns.

The Sounds head singer... hottest legs ever.

Hayley is bomb!!

Gwen and the boys... LOVE.

I just have another massive concert in September. Blink 182, Weezer, Taking Back Sunday & Asher Roth!!! It will be EPIC.
