Christmas Eve Eve

It's the holiday season and I miss my grandma so much. I can't believe this is our third year away from her for Christmas. Illinois is not that far away but only seeing my grandma, who has been like a second mother, once a year takes its toll. Christmas just doesn't feel the same without her and I know it may sound bad but she is someone of a selected few that I consider my true family. Sometimes I don't feel complete and comfortable in my own house. I feel my true family is my grandma and uncle Troy. Those two are the ones I can go to with my soul and thoughts. They understand where I am coming from. They don't judge me and love me with all of their heart. I wish I could live closer to both of them. I don't think they truly understand how much they mean to me because I know I mean a lot to them. I love them with all my heart and I can't wait until the next time I see my grandma. Luckily, I get to see Troy this Saturday. :)

I hope everyone has a good holiday with the ones they love. Cherish it. I will take lots of pictures with my new camera! We have a busy weekend ahead. Christmas Eve my family is just sticking together and my mom is making prime rib! Yum! Christmas day we are going to my dads side of the family... which means TAMALES. Yummy Mexican food will be nice. Then, Saturday we are meeting with the VanderHeyden family (minus Grandma) for an Italian lunch. It will be fun and eventful. Until I have time to write again...
